Red and White 1975 Ford Bronco Sport Is a 390-HP Blueprint of Restomod Wonders

With such rich heritage behind the Bronco name, it’s no wonder Ford has already turned the reinvented successor into a 2020 favorite without actually selling even a single unit. But, on the other hand, is there anybody who doesn’t love the rugged awesomeness of a classic Bronco, especially when it’s brought up to date with lots of modern technology?

Mecum’s upcoming Kissimmee, Florida, auction taking place January 7th through 17th bets caters to this category of buyers given some of its “star” vehicles that will go under the hammer. One of them is precisely this tastefully restored 1975 Ford Bronco Sport that spent some quality time with Velocity Restorations of Pensacola.

There, the classic car restoration specialists seemingly worked hard for this ‘75 Bronco Sport to become poster-material restomod SUV. The unit came into their possession back in 2017 and the first order of business – aside from bringing up to factory-quality the red and white paint – was to swap the engine for a Blueprint Engines crate unit.

The 331-cubic-inch (5.42-liter) aluminum head small block can deliver 390 horsepower, which is quite a lot, but the driver still remains in complete control. That’s because the FAST fuel injection has a touchscreen control module in the cabin, and the build also includes a custom heavy-duty radiator alongside Velocity’s bespoke serpentine belt assembly.

We’re not entirely sure if the new owner (by the way, this is a no reserve sale) is willing to risk that vintage-looking red and white body, but in any case, Velocity also took care of possible off-road adventures by integrating a one-inch (2.54 cm) billet body lift kit and a two-inch (5.08 cm) suspension lift, among other upgrades.

Before turning our focus on the interior, we also need to mention the custom exhaust with Borla mufflers along with the rebuilt four-speed automatic transmission and transfer case. As far as the vintage Bronco's cabin is concerned, the vintage air is well preserved here as well, thanks to the wooden steering wheel, Dakota Digital gauges, or the Vintage Tunes Bluetooth audio system.
