Latinos will prosper with four more years of Trump: Mario Rodriguez Donald Trump supporters rally at a “Latinos For Trump” gathering at Anaheim City Hall on Sunday. By MARIO RODRIGUEZ | PUBLISHED: July 31, 2020 at 2:35 p.m. | UPDATED: August 15, 2020 at 11:28 a.m. President Trump continues to deliver for Latinos, spearheading groundbreaking economic programs that are uplifting countless Hispanic families in California and across the United States. On July 9, the president signed an executive order creating the White House Hispanic Prosperity Initiative, a project that strives to create even more educational and economic opportunities for Latinos. “At the heart of our strategy to create a prosperous future for every Hispanic American, as well as all Americans, is a great family of education,” the president said during the signing ceremony, pledging to “fight to ensure that every Hispanic American parent has the freedom and the right to send your child to the public, private, charter, faith-based, magnet, home, or independent school of your choice.” Crucially, the initiative greatly strengthens Hispanic-serving institutions of higher learning, providing additional funding to more than 100 colleges and universities in California, alone. The president’s recent executive order is only one of many innovative economic programs that have empowered the Latino community. Thanks to the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, for instance, Californians are saving an average of $1,266 on their federal income taxes every year. The Trump administration’s ongoing campaign to eliminate job-killing regulations, meanwhile, helped drive the Latino unemployment rate to its lowest point in U.S. history prior to the start of the coronavirus pandemic. Despite the Trump administration’s record-breaking success, however, presumptive Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden is determined to eliminate every single one of the pro-growth economic policies that delivered such historic levels of prosperity. In fact, Biden has embraced a radical policy platform that is guaranteed to economically devastate the Latino community. Biden has repeatedly vowed to roll back the president’s tax cuts, which would primarily serve to burden working families with yet another expense. He has also pledged to “phase out” fossil fuels — an industry that employs hundreds of thousands of Hispanic Americans. Biden’s most destructive policy stance of all, however, is his radical position on illegal immigration — the former vice president is weak on border security and wants to reward illegal immigrants with welfare benefits and a pathway to citizenship. Hispanic Americans have as much to lose from Biden’s immigration agenda as any other Americans, if not more. After all, recent immigrants are more likely to be the ones competing with new entrants into the job market, whether they’re here legally or illegally. We’re also the ones who would be expected to accommodate the new arrivals within our own communities, meaning we would be the first ones to find out whether those individuals are decent, hard working people or dangerous, hardened criminals. President Trump recently issued an executive order temporarily suspending new immigration in order to make sure that American citizens and legal residents are first in line for the millions of new jobs that will be created as our economy recovers from the artificial coronavirus downturn. Biden, on the other hand, wants to weaken border security and provide financial incentives for people to come here illegally in search of work, such as offering “free” taxpayer-funded healthcare to people who cross our border illegally.
“At the heart of our strategy to create a prosperous future for every Hispanic American, as well as all Americans, is a great family of education,” the president said during the signing ceremony, pledging to “fight to ensure that every Hispanic American parent has the freedom and the right to send your child to the public, private, charter, faith-based, magnet, home, or independent school of your choice.”

We’re also the ones who would be expected to accommodate the new arrivals within our own communities, meaning we would be the first ones to find out whether those individuals are decent, hard working people or dangerous, hardened criminals.

Biden, on the other hand, wants to weaken border security and provide financial incentives for people to come here illegally in search of work, such as offering “free” taxpayer-funded healthcare to people who cross our border illegally.
The “Unity” policy doctrine jointly that Biden devised with extensive input from Bernie Sanders, moreover, would severely undercut the budding economic recovery by imposing a slew of expensive environmental regulations that would stifle economic growth and development at the source. Biden’s proposed fracking ban alone would destroy an estimated 19 million jobs and saddle working families with enormous cost-of-living increases.
