Seized DOLPHIN MEAT AT A MARKET IN CHIMBOTE PERU

Inspectors of the General Directorate of Supervision and Inspection of the Ministry of Production (Produce) and staff of the National Police of Tourism and Environment seized six kilos of dolphin meat in a raid at the Miramar Market in Chimbote. 

The appeal was confiscated the trader Alberto Rojas Gutiérrez in stall No. 61 Miramar Market. The watchdogs raised Produce reports occurrence kicking respective corresponding disciplinary processes. 

The dolphins and other small cetaceans that inhabit the Peruvian sea are species protected by Law No. 26585 from 1996, which also prohibits the extraction, processing and marketing. 

The Ministry of Production has phone 616-2222, 1507 or 1531 attachments, and email denuncias@produce.gob.pe to lodge complaints about hunting, illegal processing and sale of dolphins.

INCAUTARON CARNE DE DELFÍN EN MERCADO DE CHIMBOTE

Inspectores de la Dirección General de Supervisión y Fiscalización del Ministerio de la Producción (Produce) y personal de la Policía Nacional de Turismo y Medio Ambiente incautaron seis kilos de carne de delfín en un operativo realizado en el Mercado Miramar, en Chimbote.

El recurso fue confiscado al comerciante Alberto  Rojas Gutiérrez en el puesto de venta Nº 61 del Mercado Miramar. Los fiscalizadores del Produce levantaron los reportes de ocurrencia respectivos dando inicio a los procesos sancionadores correspondientes.

El delfín y otros cetáceos menores que habitan en el mar peruano son especies protegidas por la Ley N° 26585 desde 1996, que además prohíbe su extracción, procesamiento y comercialización.

El Ministerio de la Producción tiene el teléfono 616-2222, anexos 1507 o 1531, y el correo electrónico denuncias@produce.gob.pe para formular denuncias sobre la caza, procesamiento y venta ilegal de delfines.
