Donington Park Race Circuit, Leicestershire, UK, on 26 May 2007
(Andean).
The Peru registered a new Guinness World Record as the country which
experienced the largest number of brands for a tour of motorcycles on various
districts of Lima, with 31 copies, surpassing the 22 brands achieved largely by
the United Kingdom in 2007.
Ralph
Hannah, the Guinness World Record representative in Latin America and overseer
of this achievement, said after validating the new record that this time is
exceeded in nine varieties of bikes that shown in a similar event held in
London for six years.
Before the
so-called "patriotic Expomoto Parade 2013", organized by the
Automobile Association of Peru (AAP), there were 28 pre-registered marks, but
as he approached the moment of departure the number was increased until reached
the 31 motorcycles.
THOUSAND MORE BIKES
As the
number of participating motorcycles, Edwin Derteano, president of the AAP
reported that it exceeded two wheelers thousand. Monitoring and protection of
this activity was in charge of 30 wheelers.
The parade,
in which drivers were dressed in red vests and white Peruvian flag forming the
world's longest-began around 10 am at the Champ de Mars and continued down the
avenue General Garzón, Brazil, the Army and Salaverry Walk up to the Naval
Heroes.
From there
riders moved across the Expressway from Paseo de la Republic to reach the
Circuito de Playas and complete the course in La Herradura beach in Chorrillos.
