| 1959 Kellison J5 Coupe This 1959 Kellison J5 Coupe has been purchased from a client and very long term owner, my company has carried out a total nut and bolt restoration over the last 18 months. The body has been removed, everything has been taken from the chassis, chassis has been media blasted and powder coated satin black, we have made a new complete wiring loom for the car with all new lamps, engine is a 350 Ci Chevy engine which has been fully rebuilt to +60 with TWR flat top pistons, heads worked and built with gold roller rockers, 4 speed Borg Warner manual gearbox rebuilt, Live back axle which is a LSD and in perfect condition, all new brakes have been fitted including brake master cylinder and all new copper brake lines and new flexy brake pipes, all new fuel system has been fitted, including a custom built aluminium fuel tank with a new fuel sender, new fuel pump, |
the engine is complemented with a 750 Holly double pumper carb and a Weiand Alloy four barrel inlet manifold, 8mm HT yellow Silicone leads, Mallory electronic distributor, a large custom built aluminium radiator with a thermostatic electric fan. The exhaust system is a custom built stainless steel twin exhaust system with crossover pipe and stainless steel block hugger headers, the chassis and underside is as new, engine bay is filly detailed with a custom built aluminium bulk head cover and a black hood pad stitched in 4” diamond pattern all custom made.
The body has been treated to a full bare gell coat paint job in Jaguar Opalescent Gunmetal Grey metallic, all glass and perspex side screens have been custom built new, all new rubber weather seals around the vehicle, The interior bucket seats has almost identical original style design, however the outside of the seats have been custom built in black nappa leather, dashboard is in the same leather with French stitching and the gearbox tunnel the same nappa leather,
Which has been stitched to a 4” diamond pattern, quality black carpet on all floors, black leather to the roll cage, the original aluminium door panels have been replicated to the interior rear panels which are removable and the rear decking with is black carpet to gain access to the alloy fuel tank.
The J5 Coupe has very rare Stewart Warner gauges which have all been fully restored along with the 59 Corvette speedometer, custom built alloy front and rear windscreen finishers are unique to this vehicle along with the alloy sill moulding, wheels and tyres are all brand new 5 x Rocket Racing five spoke alloys with classic grey centres 6 x 15, shod with new 205/75/15 tyres.
